Studio Etiquette

Pilates Socks Policy
At Align, we highly encourage practicing Pilates barefoot. Pilates Socks are NOT required. Your feet are your foundation, your connection to the earth, and are full of nerve-endings that provide invaluable sensory and proprioceptive information to your nervous system about how your body should adapt to movement and where your body is in space. Direct contact with the equipment and mat encourages your feet and toes to move and engage more naturally, supporting stability, balance, and body awareness throughout your practice.
If you prefer to wear socks for comfort, warmth, or personal preference, we require that they be proper Grip Socks meant for studio use. We highly recommend socks with individual toes, as we often focus on foot mobility, articulation, and strengthening exercises.
Health & Safety Policy
All clients must complete a Health Intake Form before their first visit and inform us of any injuries, limitations, and health conditions. This information helps us tailor individualized guidance and appropriate modifications for a safe, effective practice. All personal health information provided on the Health Intake Form, or obtained thereafter, is protected under the Client Privacy Policy.
If you are experiencing symptoms of illness, we ask that you please reschedule your sessions until you are cleared of symptoms and feeling better.
Release & Waiver
All clients must sign a Release & Waiver before their first visit. By attending Align PhysioPilates & Wellness, you understand and agree that Pilates involves physical activity and some possible risks. You agree to release Align PhysioPilates & Wellness from any liability for injury, illness, or damage to personal property connected to services related to this facility.
Clients under the age of 18
If a client is under the age of 18, a waiver must be signed by a parent or legal guardian before their first visit. Clients must be 16+ years old to participate in Group Classes. Please contact the studio directly if you would like to schedule a private or semi-private session for a client ages 12 to 15. Clients under the age of 12 will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Parking
All Street Parking on Pelham Avenue and Dorothy Ford Lane is available for client use on a first-come basis. Please note, there is a 2-Hour Limit for all Street Parking. If parking in the Publix Garage, clients are asked to park on the 2nd Floor or above. Upper floor Garage Parking can be validated by the studio.
Inclement Weather
At Align, the safety of our clients and instructors is our first priority. If bad weather is expected to affect a class or we plan to close the studio, we will notify you as soon as possible via email or text. If the studio remains open, please use your best judgment when deciding whether to travel to your appointment, and let us know if you need to cancel, so that we know you’re safe. Any classes cancelled due to weather will not count against your class or session credits.
Booking Policy
All Group Classes and Appointments must be booked in advance through our online scheduling system, Momence, or through the studio directly. Walk-ins are not permitted. In order to book through Momence or use the Momence mobile app, you must first create an account. Please contact the studio with any questions regarding booking or session packages.
Cancellation Policy
We have a firm 24-Hour Cancellation Policy for all Group Classes and Appointments. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the start time of the scheduled service. Cancellations made inside the 24-hour window will be charged the full amount of the scheduled service, or a session will be deducted from your current package. Failure to attend without notice will result in a no-show cancellation charge in the full amount of the scheduled service, regardless of active packages. Group Classes may be cancelled online in your Momence account or on the app. Please contact the studio directly for any Appointment cancellations and rescheduling.
Late Arrival Policy
In order to protect the flow of class, as well as the time and safety of all clients and instructors, no client will be permitted to join into a Group Class if they arrive more than 5 minutes after the class start time. In the case of late arrival, the studio reserves the right to deny a client entry into class and charge the client’s account for a late cancellation. For clients arriving late for a scheduled appointment, the service time will be reduced by the length of the start delay. The session will still end at the scheduled time, and there will be no adjustment to the service fee.
Waitlist Policy
If a Group Class is fully booked, you may add yourself to the waitlist. If space becomes available, you will automatically be added into the class and notified by email or text. If you are added into a class less than 24 hours before the class and you decide to cancel, the standard late cancellation policy will apply. Please note, you can be added into class from the waitlist up until 30 minutes before the class start time. If you no longer plan to attend, please remove your name from the waitlist.
Refund Policy
All sales are final, non-refundable, and non-transferable.
Contacting the Studio
